Little did I know that I was to become a
"Hike-o-holic" ... And after all these years, I have a hiking album or two - which have become an excellent source of reference on researching what you can expect a particular hike to be like at any given time of year, as well as memories of good times with friends to also share with their friends and family.

The idea of "Virtual Hiking" came to me back in 2003, in an effort to cheer up my neighbor Carol, who can no longer walk well due to many health issues.  I started to photograph hikes from beginning to end with a disposable grocery store camera, and put the photos together in a way so that she could feel she was "hiking with us" - and go as many places as she wanted in her mind... without ever leaving her home.

Who is Nunya (pronounced Nun-yuh)...
Me, just one  individual who has devoted many many hours and years to compile this documentation - and then share it.  There are many reasons for the continuation of all this...   and none of it matters except that you enjoy it.

This site is a continuous work in progress, so I appreciate your patience and positive feedback.  I do not always post hiking albums in date order, and I am frequently off hiking  somewhere.  I do have a full-time day job that has nothing to do with my hiking habit.
