09/07/2009 Guitar Lake - to Whitney Summit - to Trail Camp - Sequoia National Park - Sierra Nevada's California
Day 4 of 5 starts at our camp at Guitar Lake (11,460ft) - and ascends up the backside of Mt Whitney 3045ft to the Whitney Summit at 14,505ft. Go Virtual Hike with us 3.3 miles from Guitar Lake to Trail Crest (13,700ft) - continuing another 2.1 miles to the Whitney Summit - and returning another 4.6 miles down 2505ft to Trail Camp (12,000ft) at the base of Whitney - for a cumulative total of 10 miles. (photos by Nunya)

BEHIND THE SCENES ...   Many areas you hike have group size limits , which you need to be aware of.  All groups shown in the Virtual albums may appear to hike together, when in fact they do not.  *sorry, photographer editing illusion*  Groups are broken down into Fast-Medium-and-Slower hikers, with designated regrouping points along the way for safety purposes.  Educate yourself on the rules directly with the US Forest Service and National Park Service.  Don't assume - Get the facts first.

04/20/2007 HAVASUPAI HIKE TO THE COLORADO RIVER -
SOUTH RIM GRAND CANYON ARIZONA
This is by far the BEST Virtual documentation I've ever done on this hike from Havasupai to the Colorado River. If you've done it before, you'll be checking your calendar to see when you can do it again. If you've never done it, you'll be putting it on your wish list! Go Virtual Hike with us 8 miles from Havasupai to the Colorado (16 miles round trip), and see why this is one of my favorite hikes that I don't have to drag anyone to
come with me on!  (photos by Nunya)

04/19/2007 Havasupai - Hike In -
South Rim Grand Canyon Arizona

You don't have to travel out of the U.S. to catch this tropical paradise - This is Havasupai, on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona! Go Virtual hike with us the 11 miles from Hualapai Hilltop (5800ft), down into Grand Canyon beauty and the Havasupai campgrounds (2800ft). See a few of the changes since the flash flood from 09/02/2006 (photos by Nunya)

09/09/2006 - 09/11/2006 Havasupai - South Rim Grand Canyon
Take what you remember of Havasupai and commit it to memory. Mother Nature has been busy remodeling! A MEGA Flash Flood just the weekend prior (9/2/06) took out bridges, trails, campsites, pushed debris 20ft up trees, and opened wide the Navajo Falls area - none of which did anything to stop our getting Havasupai Happy! Go Virtual Hike with us on some highlights of this 4 day mini-getaway. (photos by Nunya)

06/10/2006 Havasupai Falls - South Rim Grand Canyon Arizona
A day of rest & play at Havasupai still ended up being 12 miles hiked. Enjoy a few highlight photos of Mooney and
Navajo Fall areas. (photos by Nunya)

06/09/2006 Havasupai Hike to the Colorado River -
South Rim Grand Canyon Arizona

If you ever wanted to step a moment back in time to total childhood play - THIS is the hike for you! Go Virtual Hike with us starting down the 200ft Mooney Falls cliff to the Colorado River (16 miles round trip). Wade, swim and jump off rope swings into beautiful blue-green waters, climb, rappel and scramble down ropes, ladders and rocks, and hang on rafting boats docked at the Colorado river. (photos by Nunya)

06/08/2006 Havasupai - Hike In -
South Rim Grand Canyon Arizona

This started out a 10-day, 117 mile hike-fest for 4 of us. These are Highlight shots, as the majority of the hike was done in the rain - which was really cool! This 11 mile hike into Havasupai starts at the Hualapai Hilltop (5200ft elevation down to 2800ft el) on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. To "cheat" and take a helecopter in would only rob you of getting to see the beauty that surrounds you on the hike in. (photos by Nunya)

04/28/2010 charlies bunion -  newfound gap
great smoky mountains national park
tennessee - north carolina
The Great Smoky Mountains is where my desire to hike the mountains began in the year 2000... where the origination of NatureWildChild was born - and the future of Nunya came to be. Go Virtual Hike with me back to the beginning as we start with the popular Charlies Bunion hike, - a Karmic Journey where literally thousands of trail miles have transpired in-between. Where Attitude definitely determined Altitude - both in life and on the trail. (photos by Nunya)

04/29/2010 RAINBOW FALLS - MT LECONTE - BULLHEAD TRAIL (LOOP)
GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK
TENNESSEE

Rainbow Falls Trail is listed as the oldest trail route to Mount LeConte. Go Virtual Hike with us up Rainbow Falls Trail, to Rainbow Falls and all the way to the LeConte Lodge at 6,593ft elevation - then loop you down BullHead Trail for a total of 13.6 miles in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Tennessee!
