The Fred Haught Trail on the Mogollon Rim (pronounced "Mo-gee-yon")
was named after a Rancher who moved cattle all over this area of thick Ponderosa Pine in the late 1800's. Go Virtual Hike with us from the General Spring cabin (6300ft elevation) around 8 miles (300ft elevation gain) to the Fred Haught cabin remains and back. Webb Peak - at 10,029ft high in the Pinalenos Mt Graham Region of Arizona, is known to be the tallest of the "Southwestern Sky Islands". It is also the Southernmost old growth forest of spruce and fir on the U.S. Continent! The area is known to encompass five ecological systems, containing the highest diversity of habitats in the shortest vertical distance of any mountain range in North America. A beautiful tropical island with 32 beaches in 36 miles, 120 Nationalities, a French side, a Dutch side, and 3 different currencies - for snorkeling... scuba... and many other views without a backpack.
